To The Family of Sidney Corte McLean, Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
The Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Herndon, Virginia would like to express our sincere condolences to our beloved, Deacon Sylester & Deaconess Shirley Twin, other family members and friends. We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your nephew and loved one, Sidney Corte McLean, but we are grateful to God for His provisions of the gift of eternal life; for we believe that he has left the land of the dying and has gone on to the land of the living.
Deuteronomy 29:29 says in part, “... the secret things belong to the Lord thy God but the things revealed belong to us and our children forever.” We don’t know why God has chosen to bring your loved one home at this time. This will remain one of God’s secrets; but God has revealed to us, without a doubt, that He works for the good of those who love Him.
In a world full of devastation and crime, I’m reminded of the passage in Isaiah 57:1b -2 which says that, “The righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace as they lie in death.” I believe that Sidney Corte McLean is now at peace and has been spared from the many challenges, trials and tribulations of this world; for he is at home with the Lord. Our sincere prayers and thoughts are with you during this period of bereavement. May God continue to Bless and keep you.
Sincerely,
Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Family,
Rev. Dr. Kevin E. Donalson, Sr.
Senior Pastor

Our family is deeply saddened by the . loss of our nephew and cousin Sidney. We were always happy to see him at family gatherings in Chesapeake, VA. He would make his way and visit with everyone at our Twine Family get togethers. He will be sorely missed as he joins our other family members in eternity. Rest in Paradise Sidney....
