Alton McCoy

July 28, 1961 ~ December 1, 2017 (age 56) 56 Years Old

"Those we love don't go away; They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear."

Mr. Alton "Buddy" McCoy, 56 of 405 Hodgin Rd, Red Springs, North Carolina was called to his heavenly home on Friday, December 1, 2017. He was born in Laurinburg NC on July 28, 1961. He was the son of the late Mr. Sam McCoy & Tearetha Farmer McCoy.

As a child, Mr. McCoy was educated in the Public Schools of Hoke County. He would later become employed at the House of Raeford. He enjoyed street racing, spending time with his children, and he was a very good friend to many. "Buddy" was known for being the good samaritan, not only in the family but also in the community. His words of wisdoms, his thoughts, and his expressions will be missed.

Awaiting Buddy's arrival around heaven's throne are his loving and devoted parents and his brother Mr. Clint McCoy.

Although Buddy has finished his race and his course has been won, waiting his crown of righteous day are his four daughters: Shalonda L Campbell of Raeford, Alvita V Graham-McNeill (Marlon) of Raeford, Alkeita J McCoy of Wade, and Lapia N Campbell of Fayetteville; four sisters: Marilyn McCoy of Raeford, Gay Bethea (Tim) of Southern Pines, Hope McCoy & Jennifer McCoy of Raeford; Fourteen grandchildren; Special Friends: John Wayne, Jean Campbell, Daphne Graham-Dudley, Norman "Ty" Page, Regina Bullard, & Annie Pope. As well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
